NEC Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn..Bhd. was established in July 1974 as an assembly plant of NEC Electronics Corporation. We commenced with the production of Signal Transistors and progressively launched various products such as Linear IC, Power Transistors and MCU’s. Currently we are one of the key assembly plants in NEC Electronics Corporation.

Our corporate philosophy is to contribute for an advanced society with the best living standards through our excellent products that give utmost satisfaction.

FY2007 (April 2007 ~ March 2008) was a solid year of progress for NEC Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.. Our sales was at an historically high level, surpassing RM1.0B. for the first time in history.

I would like to appreciate the effort and the support of all the people who have contributed to this achievement.

Our challenge does not end here. We will continuously strive to improve the quality and the cost of our products and to expand our business. To achieve this, we have mobilized various Project Teams to tackle these challenges.

NEC Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. believes that quality product comes from quality employees. To this effect, we have embarked a training system where we train our employees at various plants within the group in Japan. We dispatch our Engineers and Technicians to Japan for training, for a period ranging from three months to two years. The trainees are trained in Technical aspect, operation of Semiconductors industry and the Japanese Culture or Japanese way of work.

As a responsible corporate citizen, NEC Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. places the community services as one of our top priorities. We believe that the communities residing around us must prosper with us.
