Science - The Water Rocket Launching Competition 2006

The Water Rocket Launching competition was held on 27~28 March 2006 at Jugra Stadium, Kuala Langat with participation from secondary school students from 13 schools within the Kuala Langat district. The objective is to instill the interest of physics amongst students in secondary education. District Education Office and Banting National Secondary School jointly organized the event. NECSEM further supported the event by introducing a challenge trophy duly donated by NEC Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. Sungai Manggis Secondary School was the overall champion of the NEC Challenge.

With a touch of creativity, students designed and built rockets that were launched from a specially constructed launch pad.		En. Mohamed Md. Zin of NECSEM presenting the Challenge Trophy to the overall winner.
