Environmental Policy

NEC SEMICONDUCTORS (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. PLEDGES FULL COMMITMENT TO THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT WITH REGARDS TO ALL ITS ACTIVITIES, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THROUGH THE PURSUIT OF PRACTICES THAT HARMONIZES WITH THE ENVIRONMENT.

In accordance with this policy, the company will;

1. Environmental Management System



• Establish an environmental management system seeking the continual improvement of environmental performance and the prevention of pollution to the environment.
• Set appropriate objectives in line with the policy.These will be supported by internal targets and an environmental management programme.
• The environmental policy will be available to the public.
2. Compliance to Requirement



• Strictly comply to all applicable environmental laws and regulations which the company subscribes to.
• Fulfill corporate environmental principles, guidelines and activity plan.
• Fulfill customer requirements.
3. Management of Environmental Impacts



• Monitor and control accidental releases of chemicals and hazardous substances from contamination of soil and water.
• Monitor and control emissions of dust and fumes into the air.
• Monitor and control the usage of chemicals.
• Minimize and prevent at source where possible, all the significant emissions, discharges, wastes and utilization of energy and natural resources. Where prevention is not possible, reduction, reuse, recycle or recovery will be the options before or disposal to land.
• Take actions to minimize the risk of environmental accidents and develop contingency plans to respond effectively to any potential accidents.
4. Communication and Training



• Communicate the environmental policy, objectives and action plans to all employees and to those people who working on behalf of the organization.
• Foster responsibility for environmental control at the levels through provision of appropriate environmental training and education.
